ABOUT THE ROLE:

Premier Electrics have an exciting opportunity to join our design team based in our head office in Bellaghy working within our design team. You will be liaising with contracts managers, clients and consultants on the different elements of an electrical and mechanical design for a range of exciting projects for prestigious clients. The role will be challenging and will give the successful applicant a chance to develop their own career within an award-winning company in the commercial construction sector.


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your Duties will include:

  • Production of BIM Models, and drawings using Revit.
  • Design coordination with other trades and services.
  • Champion the implementation of BIM throughout the company.
  • Document control/ document management using various CDE’s.
  • Creation of bespoke M&E Families.
  • Ensure successful delivery of BIM execution plan.
  • Providing technical support to our design and site teams.
  • Site surveys and reports.
  • Attending site meetings if required.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the construction industry.
  • Experience in a similar role for an M&E Contractor or consultant.
  • Proficient in the use of Autodesk software to include Autocad & Revit.
  • Proficient of the use of BIM360 and collaboration
  • Can demonstrate experience in the use of different CDE’s
  • Experience or training in family creation to various levels of detail.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office packages, Including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ensure quality assurance and Health & Safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to co-ordinate activities in a fast paced environment.
  • The successful candidate may be required to travel as part of their role to undertake surveys and attend site meetings.
  • Full Driving Licence.
  • Valid passport.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work calmly under pressure.
  • Ability to work flexibly, self-motivate, be able to take ownership and act on own initiative.


DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

  • Degree in architectural or building services engineering, HND building services or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience with site survey equipment and implementation of survey data including Autodesk Recap
  • Use of Navis Works including timeline/ quantification functions.
  • Use and implementation of COBie data.
