Meet One of Our Estimators; Gabriel McTaggart
How long have you worked for Premier Electrics?
I have been working for Premier Electrics since 2010. I worked as an electrician on site and have progressed to an office-based role since 2014. This Year will be my 10th year of working for Premier Electrics.
What is your current role at Premier Electrics?
I am currently working as an estimator. I work day to day on the tendering process for potential new projects. However, it is common that I would be carrying out QS role on successful projects and providing commercial assistance to the operations side of the business when the jobs become live.
What’s the best thing about working at Premier Electrics?
I would say the people within the company. Premier has a great mix of staff who all work well together which is key to the business being so successful. The company also are very good to its staff and provides us with many perks throughout the year with such things as family fun days, staff days out and taking part in many charity events that allow us all to enjoy each other’s company outside the office and in a more relaxed environment.
What do you do in your spare time outside of work?
As a father of 3 under 3 I don’t have too much spare time, but I do have a very understanding wife who picks up the slack and affords me the time to play some hurling for my local club Dunloy Cuchullains. Family time, Hurling, and the occasional night out are the main things I enjoy outside of work.
